What is a no-fault divorce?
In a no-fault divorce, the parties agree that there is no fault involved in their grounds for divorce. Married couples can petition for a no-fault divorce if the marriage has become “insupportable” because conflicts between the couple have destroyed the legitimate ends of the relationship. Also, if a couple has lived separately without cohabitation for three years, a no-fault divorce may also be granted.
